Job Summary
Apollo Mechanical Contractors is a leading mechanical contractor seeking a dependable, safety-minded Delivery Driver for our satellite distribution centers. In this hands-on role, you will support our warehouse operations by receiving, logging, storing, loading, and delivering materials and equipment that keep our job sites running smoothly. You will handle a wide variety of orders — from lightweight boxes to heavy items weighing hundreds of pounds — while operating company vehicles and forklifts in a fast-paced environment.
This is a key position that combines warehouse duties with local deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of purchase orders for our mechanical contracting projects.
Key Responsibilities
Receive incoming orders, tag them, and accurately log them into our inventory management system.
Store materials properly or prepare them for delivery based on purchase-order notes and customer requirements.
Load and unload delivery vehicles safely, using proper lifting techniques, forklifts, and other equipment.
Perform timely deliveries to job sites and other designated locations while representing Apollo Mechanical professionally.
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment in compliance with safety standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and vehicle environment.
Complete all required documentation for shipments, deliveries, and inventory.
Follow all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required).
Ability to obtain and maintain DOT certification (includes passing a DOT medical examination and drug screening).
Forklift experience and certification (or willingness to become certified).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and handle heavier items with mechanical assistance or team lifting.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate order tagging and logging.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a small team.
Previous warehouse, delivery, or material-handling experience is a plus.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Physical Demands This position requires frequent lifting, bending, standing, and walking. You must be comfortable working in a warehouse setting and making deliveries in varying weather conditions.
